Deep down, I want to work on lot of projects. But life is keeping me busy. With happiness the moments bring though, I ain’t complaining.

The Curious Bee and her friends celebrated Halloween yesterday โ€” she dressed up as a witch. She wanted herself to look scary, but I don’t think she can be. To my eyes, she looked so cute! Anyway, happy Halloween folks! ๐Ÿง™๐ŸŽƒ

When cleaning the home is not a chore but a family activity. There’s loads of shopping. Sizzling in the kitchen throughout the day. A sense of excitement, of inexplicable urgency. Diwali vibes are here!

When a shade of green is glitzed up by the shadows. Just another game the light, or the lack thereof, plays.

A Day in the Life in Pune, India. A stairway to the blue skies on the other side.

Every afternoon for the past few days, the clouds crowd the skies as I wait to pickup my daughter from the school. They didn’t disappoint even today.

With new lights, this spot that I have walked across so many times looked different. I liked the shades of yellow amidst the shadows. I wish I could capture it better.

I stumbled across the first iterations of my blog that I had self-hosted with WordPress. I had left my creativity free allowing me to “design” the logo and favicon and headers and everything. What’s worse, I did it all in Powerpoint. Oh, those were the crazy effortless days.

It was relaxing to watch the calm river stream as I sat next to a shack. A cup of steaming hot tea in my hand.

There are places where even a sky crowded with clouds is lot cleaner than what you are used to seeing. Visited one such place. Calm!

I have been traveling for the past week – rejuvenating myself amidst the nature. Relaxing on the beach. Had some wonderful rides, surrounded by dense jungles. Most of all, untouched by all the hustle bustle of the modern life. Wonder. Amazement. Serenity.

Flowers and thorns must have a special relationship - often the former attempts to veil the spikes. mbmay

Experimental picture with nature’s colors at night. I’m not too proud. But an experiment nonetheless. #mbmay

A photo of a darkroom photo enlarger. Though very different from what’s on display, it’s fascinating nonetheless. #mbmay

I have been away on vacation since the last few days – I had no network I could connect to. My hotel did provide me an option to connect to Wifi, an offer that I humbly declined. As a result, I don’t remember any other visit to a beach that was this peaceful.

I loved the clouds floating in the vivid skies today. They crowded throughout all at once. And dispersed just as swiftly, without much drama.

A Stranger on the Wheels

Last week, my whole family, near and distant, got together for my cousinโ€™s wedding, and it kept me completely exhausted throughout this week. The venue for the wedding was unfamiliar to me and I am never comfortable at such places. I can never settle into any routinue of sorts, messing up my eating and sleeping habits, and invariably my body. The journey with a train to and from the destination, though, was wonderful. I have always had a fascination for the train rides, especially ones overnight. To be a resident of a world on wheels for a few hours is welcome โ€” it distances you from all your regular thoughts. Each station the train halts at exhibits a different personality, lays out its own unique beauty for the traveling strangers. The skies in the dawns remain beautiful, the vacant stations late at nights are equally mesmerising.

All said, notwithstanding the tiredness the event left me with, the train ride gave me enough memories to remember the two nights of the journey by. The week also saw me complete another of my #30day challenges. I am proud of this one, I learned so much. And I might have continued the challenge if it wasnโ€™t for the hectic week. I will not, however, take photo-a-day as a challenge now. I want to make it regular, part of my blogging habit.

What #30day challenge should I sign up for next, then? Anyway, last week was a slow writing week in terms of number of posts. But in terms of number of words, I wrote more than whatโ€™s usual for me.

This is an introduction for this week’s issue of my weekly newsletter. I have realized the updates I begin my newsletter with every week get lost once it is out. So I intend to publish these as separate posts going ahead.

A morning during a train ride, in a foreign land, an unknown city is always beautiful. Curious how we connect to a rising sun, irrespective of the place. Day 30 of #30day ๐Ÿ–ผ๏ธ
